Baptist Church & Calvary Baptist Church as we join together for
the glory of God to host
The Egypt File: Decoding the Mystery of Life. This year we will journey
to the country where Jesus first grew up and tackle some of the most
mysterious and intriguing questions to man. Where did we come
from? Are we equal to animals? Is all human life valuable? Do our lives
have purpose? Come participate in all the activities and learn what the
Bible says about the creation of man.

networking, just a place to get away with area Pastors discussing issues
that apply directly to the Pastor and the church.

year's guest speaker for our fall men's retreat will
be Dr. Brent Garrison. President of
Southwestern College in Phoenix, AZ. Brent has been
President from  1995.
Ph.D.,
1983,
Pensacola Christian University; M.A., 1977, Grace
Theological Seminary; B.A., 1975, Indiana
University. Brent obviously
loves
and relates well
with
the college scene, and has a great way of
communicating God's truth's in applicable ways.

Hope
Sponsorship Sunday
2010
This year
we are encouraging our churches to have Sunday to focus
on child sponsorship. Sign up by contacting Terrah
Brown, a local
World Vision church advisor, for more
information at 310.383.6450 or email her at
TeBrown.
She will help you with all the details, which include
sending you free books, resources and information sheets
of children who need a sponsor. Sponsor a Hope Child for
$35 a month. If desired, each church may choose a
country where they already have existing missions work
and World Vision will find children in or near their
community of interest. Following a Hope Sponsorship
Sunday, pastors also have the opportunity to go on a
Vision Trip with World Vision to visit the children and
communities they are
serving!

HopeChild is a child living in a community affected by
AIDS. As a HopeChild sponsor, you are connected with one
special child who will know your name, write to you, and
feel your tender love and prayers. Your monthly
sponsorship gift can help turn the tide of the HIV and
AIDS pandemic! You can provide things such as:
-Clean water
-Nutritious food
-Health care, including AIDS prevention
-Educational opportunities
-Spiritual nurture
-Care for sick or dying parent
-HIV and AIDS counseling
